Real Estate in Maggie Valley is Painted White Again.

When I looked outside early this morning I assumed we had another false snow alarm in Maggie Valley, but that was not the case. It snowed heavily most of the day (until around 3:30 p.m.) and left the real estate in Maggie Valley painted white again. No issues with the power yet, so I’m happy!

It’s been a beautiful day to work on my websites. Here’s what it looks like outside this afternoon:

Pasquale’s Pizzeria Restaurant in Waynesville NC Flavors the Local Food Scene.

Pasquale’s Pizzeria Restaurant in Waynesville NC flavors the local food scene as an established and popular restaurant, and was host to a get-together for a few of my real estate-related friends the other night. We all sat in the lounge area, close to the fireplace due to our ‘extreme’ winter weather. This happened to be the first time I’ve been in Pasquale’s since the ‘no smoking’ rule went into effect in North Carolina, so it was very nice eating and visiting with friends in a ‘no-smoking’ atmosphere.

Pasquale’s is very conveniently located at 1863 S Main Street, Waynesville, NC 28786, and there is plenty of free parking.

My Pasquale’s Manicotti was delicious, as were the fresh, hot bread sticks. I should have taken notes on what everyone else was eating…. at least I can tell you there weren’t any leftovers.

Searching for Maggie Valley NC on Soco Road During Friday’s Snow Flurry.

Several of my Florida friends, and most of my Hawaii family, have not driven in a snow flurry, so I filmed this short video Friday afternoon on my way home from Waynesville NC when Maggie Valley and Waynesville were treated to ANOTHER batch of snow, starting in mid-afternoon.

Here’s what it looked like after the Friday snow: Saturday morning snow pictures.

Today’s weather (Sunday, 02/14) is quite beautiful, but expected to change later on this afternoon to (more) rain and/or snow.

Maggie Valley Landslide ~ Finger-Pointing, FEMA Trip Postponed, More Moisture Muddying the Slopes.

Homeowners along the Rich Cove Road slide area in Maggie Valley are faced with no homeowners’ insurance coverage, and nowhere to go. Now, finger-pointing is in high gear.

Blame for Friday night’s landslide is being focused, at the present time, on Ghost Town in the Sky, but Ghost Town is in reorganizational bankruptcy, and may very soon be forced into Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

It is doubtful to me that any one person or entity is at fault. (See: “2010 could see action on landslides in Western North Carolina”)
