Beautiful flowers are still blooming along the creeks and in the mountains of Maggie Valley, and being out and about in the late afternoon yesterday meant capturing more beautiful flowers illuminated with luscious, late afternoon light. Couldn’t help but think of Guy Kawasaki’s pink feather boa on his new Twitter avatar when looking at this photo. Love his Alltop website and marketing prowess.

Photo of the Day - Close But No Cigar!

Sarge’s Downtown Waynesville Dog Walk tomorrow has me ‘thinking dogs’ for my photos of the day (click here to read about the Dog Walk). Our local newspaper is not sending a photographer to the event, so I will be the ‘official’ photographer. The only thing that could be better than that would be photographing our Haywood County firemen and policemen for their bathing suit calendars!
