This swinging deer was spotted late yesterday afternoon in Maggie Valley while I was looking for photo opportunities that offered a bit of color besides brown.

Snow is in our weekend forecast, but that’s hard to imagine with temperatures in the 50’s this rainy morning.

Maggie Valley Golf Course is fronted by Moody Farm Road in Maggie Valley, and the course is constantly frequented by die-hard golfers, no matter the weather or time of year. Driving down Moody Farm Road late yesterday afternoon, the lights on the wagon in a yard across from the golf course caught my eye. Just one of the many charms of living in and around Maggie Valley!

What a Difference A Day Makes at Maggie Valley’s Tube World.

Late yesterday, after visiting friends on Sheepback Mountain, I drove by Tube World Maggie Valley to check the ’snow making’ progress. Wow! They have been busy the past 24 hours!

Snow skiing is just a mere 3 minutes away… here is a link to the Cataloochee Ski Area, which is just a mile or so up the mountain from Tube World Maggie Valley.
