The numbers in this first chart reflect residential real estate sales in Haywood County by month in 2009.

If you look at the numbers below which compare this November to the same period over the past 5 years, you will see we sold 13 more homes in November 2009 than in 2008, but the dollar volume difference is only $246,774 more in 2009 from 2008. Also of note is that the Average Selling Price in 2009 is the lowest Average Selling Price in this comparison, and it takes longer to sell homes right now, especially if they are not priced right.
