Cruising Back to Maggie Valley By Way of The North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville.
The North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville was a great place to spend the past couple of days while attending meetings , and I took advantage of a few quick photo opps during our breaks. Spiders, frogs and beautiful flowers all within a stone’s throw of our realtor-filled meeting room.
“The Arboretum’s 434 acres of natural beauty provides ample opportunities for all ages to connect with nature and learn how plants are important to our world. Visitors from across the world enjoy exploring the Arboretum’s outdoor exhibits such as art installations and 65 acres of cultivated gardens, including one of the finest, most unique bonsai collections in the United States.”
This weekend at the Arboretum the Carolinas Dahlia Society is holding it’s Annual show (September 12 and 13). The Arboretum features many Exhibits, both inside and outside, and Educational opportunities as well.
The drive back to Maggie Valley from Asheville on I-40 was decorated with vintage automobiles which, unbeknownst to me, were headed for a stop at Teague’s in Maggie Valley.
Wonder if they are in town for Thunder in the Smokies Fall Motorcycle Rally this weekend?
