The Foreclosure Crisis Has Not Affected These Houses in Haywood County.
The Bird Place is located in Downtown Waynesville and sells bird food and feeders and birdhouses, among other items specific to birders and bird lovers. I don’t know if they have birdhouses like the one I photographed yesterday (below) as I haven’t been in there for a while. I’m a realtor so … well, I haven’t been shopping much lately.
We have many interesting birdhouses in and around Haywood County. Some are ‘production’ birdhouses, but many are handmade and unique to Western North Carolina. Driving through Brannon Forest Subdivision in Waynesville yesterday, I noticed this great birdhouse so I lurked in front of the ‘people house’ in my vehicle and snapped some photos.
It was 50 degrees this morning in Maggie Valley, so I’m wondering if the residents of this particular house have gone South already.
