Does It Look Like Our Residential Listings Are Overpriced?

This morning there are 1,137 active listings in Haywood County, NC. There were 1,080 active listings on May 1st… ‘that’ is an increase of 57 more homes on the market in 20 days, countered by the transactions in escrow during May, so far, totaling 12.

Days on Market.

Active listings in Haywood County have been on the market, so far, an average of 173 days; Maggie Valley active listings, 201 days; and Waynesville active listings, 167 days.

Haywood County closed transactions were on the market an average of 168 days; Maggie Valley, an average of 221 days; and Waynesville, an average of 176 days.

The Reality.

Many homes in Haywood County, Maggie Valley and Waynesville are way overpriced for the present market unless, of course, selling isn’t the goal.

    Wow. We just dropped the price on our MV home. I’m at the point where I don’t care about making money … I’d just like to break even so we can afford one of the overpriced homes closer to my job. Can you tell all of this is depressing me? :)
