Haywood County, NC – Market Report – 04/28/08 Comparison.

According to our Haywood County MLS this morning, we have 1,076 homes on the market today, an increase of 42 homes on the market since March 28, 2008.

• Maggie Valley has 254 active listings.
• Waynesville has 517 active listings.
• Canton has 147 active listings.
• Clyde has 134 active listings.
• Lake Junaluska has 21 active listings.
• 3 miscellaneous active listings.

The comparison Market Report below compares where we are today to where we were at the same point in 2007. In a nutshell, our sales for the year are down 30.83% and it is taking longer to sell homes this year. Not good when you have a 24-month inventory, but not unique when looking at nationwide numbers. While location, location, location is always important, in this market pricing, pricing, pricing is key.
