Haywood Regional Medical Center – First Inspectors Arrive.
Inspectors from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services arrived Tuesday morning, April 15, at Haywood Regional Medical Center for the first inspection subsequent to the withdrawal of Medicaid/Medicare funding in February of this year.
Once a favorable report is ‘earned,’ Medicaid/Medicare requires an additional favorable inspection before certification is reinstated. Timing of the second inspection is normally one to six months from the initial inspection. The sooner, the better, for all concerned.
