According to the Haywood County, NC Board of Realtors, the MLS numbers below represent residential real estate sales in 2007, compared to 2006. Haywood County includes Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Canton, Clyde and Lake Junaluska. Note: the figures represent ALL residential real estate sales in Haywood County, not only the residential real estate sales of the Haywood County MLS members.
Dollar amount totals of sales were down most of 2007, as were the number of units sold in 2007, compared to 2006. It is interesting to note that the average median price in 2007 was up from 2006. It remains a Buyer’s market, and the numbers of units sold probably won’t increase significantly until the selling prices are based on the present market.
